Register to Ride

The Connecticut Challenge is a premier cycling event benefiting an exceptional cause.  We welcome riders of all abilities and ages and we are certain you will have a memorable experience.

There are several ride distances to choose from, including 12, 25, 50 and a challenging 100-mile ride - "New England's Toughest Century."  The Connecticut Challenge is a day filled with

  • exercise
  • camaraderie
  • delicious food
  • great rider gifts for fundraising
  • live music
  • fun for the family
  • a celebration of cancer survivors

Please read the following important notes before you continue with the registration process:

    • A valid credit card is required to register. By registering, you are committing yourself to raise at least $750 ($375 for full-time students) by September 26, 2008. If you fall short of that commitment, the balance will be charged to your credit card.

    • When you register, your credit card will be charged only for your registration fee and any donation you make to your own fundraising account.

    Fundraising Tip:
When you register to ride, you will automatically receive a personal webpage that you can customize and where your friends and family can make donations to your ride.  You will also receive a FREE CT Challenge email address (sample: myname@CTChallenge.com) that you can use for your fundraising.  Look for details on both programs in the confirmation email you receive after you register to ride.

    Cancellations:

If, after registering to ride, you determine that you cannot ride on the July 26, we encourage you to consider the Virtual Rider Program, which gives you the opportunity to fulfill your fundraising goals while riding your miles at another time and place.

If you must cancel altogether, you must send an email to info at ctchallenge.org and receive a reply that your cancellation has been received and acknowledged. If you do not follow this procedure, you will be responsible for fulfilling your fundraising commitment.

Simply not showing up to ride on July 26 or a voice mail message will not release you from your fundraising commitment.

    Refunds:

    • Before July 12th: Full refund of registration fees and release from balance of fundraising commitment. No return of donations.

    • After July 11th: No refund of registration fees. Release from balance of fundraising commitment. No return of donations.
